Unbelievers are spiritually dead. Salvation is of the LORD

By Nick Bibile

Unbelievers are physically alive, but spiritually dead. They may get an enlightenment of God, yet they are spiritually dead.

Genesis 2:17  but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”

Not only man will die physically he will die spiritually, when man sinned he did not run to God but ran away from God and hid from God as man is spiritually dead and separated from the Holy God.

Genesis 3:8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

Adam’s sin is imputed to all mankind, infants look innocent at birth but they are born sinners, wait until they grow up, they will be disobedient in every way because they are born sinners.

Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Psalm 143:2 no one living is righteous before you

From God’s holy righteous perspective everyone is a sinner,  not even one is good or righteous.

Romans 3:10-12 “None is righteous, no, not one; 11     no one understands; no one seeks for God. 12  All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good,  not even one.”

Matthew 7:18 A bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

Romans 8:7-8 The sinful mind…. Does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

1 Corinthians 2:14  The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Salvation is of the Lord.

John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

Ephesians 2:5   But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.

Acts 15:11 On the contrary, we believe it is through the grace of the Lord Jesus that we are saved

Colossians 2:13 When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ.

Jonah 2:9 Salvation belongs to the LORD.
