Secret Sins of Pornography

The Greek word for pornography is porneia. 1969 before the internet was invented, Webster's dictionary defined pornography as obscene writing.

In 1953 the year 1953 first copy of Playboy was published with pictures of naked women. And pornography took a new chapter as it was available from writing form to picture form.

Technology and Sin

Then as technology advanced, sin too advanced. In 1980 we saw the VCR, now people were able to watch movies at home, this is where even the dictionary changed its meaning of pornography. 1969 dictionary defined pornography as obscene writing, but today it is defined as sexually explicit writing, images, video for sexual arousal.

Porn and world wide web

Then technology advanced even more and sin too advanced even more, 1990’s porn hit the world wide web, with a few clicks more graphic sexual arousal videos are available.

Porn and Smartphones

Now for the first time in history, anyone who owns a smartphone, where Today the population in the world is 8 billion and out of 8 billion. According to Ericsson & The Radicati Group, the current number of mobile phone users is 7.26 billion, which makes 90.72% of people in the world cell phone owners, now online porn as digital heroin.

Pastors/Christians  involved in Porn

According to a survey 68% of the church goers and 50% of the pastors, ministers watch porn videos on a regular basis.

Growth of Porn Business

Today porn sites receive more website traffic than Facebook, Twitter, Instagram combined. According to a survey 80,000 people a minute watch porn on the internet. Today pornography is a $10 billion business.  According to a survey of the top 20 countries with the most traffic, the report finds Brazil and Philippines with the highest proportion of female viewers, at 35%. They are followed by South Africa (33%) and Sweden, Argentina, Mexico, and surprisingly, India, all at 30%. Overall, Jamaica has the highest proportion of female viewers at 46%.

Watering down sin

What calls sin is not called sin anymore but a weakness. What calls perversion and sexual immorality of pornography is called adult entertainment. Corrupted minds bring corrupt actions, the whole society is filled with wickedness.

Porn is Demonic

The god of this world and his demons are laying traps and seeking to devour even the believers. There is a great assault against God’s people, there is a spiritual war going on against God’s people, some are heavily addicted to pornography, they cannot be without it.

Becoming additive and a slave for porn

Pornography continues to reign even among Christians as they have become slaves to porn videos. What does pornography do? There is a false sense of love, you begin to lose your love relationship with your spouse, you begin to distance yourself from your family, your Christian friends. Especially if you will distance with God, the Bible, prayer life and fall deeper and deeper into addiction of pornography.

Do not offer your body to sin but glorify God in your body.

1 Corinthians 6:20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

1 Thessalonians 4:7 “For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness”

Pornography will send you to everlasting fires of hell.

Matthew 5:27-30 You have heard that it was said, “You shall not commit adultery.” But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.

God is powerful to deliver anyone from Porn

The first thing to do is to fall on your knees and pray, you do not have the strength or the power to get rid of this demonic addition but you need God’s help, from the very bottom of your heart pray and ask the Lord for help, the sinful tax collector beat his chest showing his hurt of sin against God, treat pornography as an enemy of God trying to take you to hell, see the bitterness of this filthy sin and pray with all of your soul to quench the desires of this sin against God, then flee pornography, don’t give an inch, remember the enemy is a snake, snake needs only an inch to get in.
