How God used even unbelievers to accomplish his purpose

Our God is a missionary God where God’s great commission is to take the word of God to all nations.
Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Foundation was built from God’s word by the apostles. There were no professional missionaries in the early church, every little house church was a mission society, believers of Christ were inflamed by the love of Christ to convert the unbelievers, every Christian, masters, slaves, laborers, business owners, rich and poor became local missionaries in spreading the gospel.
Basically two things are needed to accomplish in taking the gospel across the borders.
God Almighty used the heathen Macedonian king, Alexander the Great, in spreading the Greek language all across the known world. By the way apostle Paul in his missionary journeys went to Greek speaking nations.
Then king Ptolemy II in his time Hebrew scriptures were translated into Greek.
Rome was converted from brick huts to a city of great palaces by Caesar Augustus, the founder of the Roman Empire. They built roads, ports of communication where travel was accessible from the east to the west. It’s amazing that God was the initiator breaking the barriers of communication in taking the gospel across the borders.
Today with our modern communication, we can take an airplane, ship, boat, bus, car, jeep to any part of the world, then access difficult areas by foot.
God gave the intellect even to the unbelievers how to build roads, how to build airplanes, ships and every form of communication, yet many are enjoying what God had provided for their flesh.
Almost everyone has a cellphone, where we can be engaged in Christian service for God’s glory. Yet, even many Christians are more interested in their flesh and they are using the cellphones for their glory. Just see the Facebook and Tiktok
In the past the word of God was written on papyrus which didn’t last long and Christians labored making new copies as they were excited to take the gospel out. But today almost everyone has a Bible and many don’t even bother to read.
Many have abandoned the great commission as they are more concerned with beautifying their local church buildings. Many cannot go but all can pray for the great commission, pray for those who are in the front lines, encourage them, even give a donation even small if you can, for God’s work.
Churches which began at homes in the New Testament times, now they have grown into big business mega churches. I encourage everyone to take a serious stand on your Christianity and ask the Lord in prayer how you can take part, even in a small way spreading the gospel for God’s glory!
