How Big is your God?

By Nick Bibile

We are living in the days where humanism has penetrated into the church. One of the greatest threats to Christianity today is ‘open theism’ which says God does not necessarily have knowledge of all future events, this is heresy.

Psalm 147:4-5 He determines the number of the stars;

    he gives to all of them their names.

5

Great is our Lord, and abundant in power;

    his understanding is beyond measure

Please read the above scriptures carefully, the word ‘number’ and ‘measure’ has the same Hebrew word ‘mis-par’

Which means no one can count the stars, at the same time no one can measure the understanding (knowledge and intelligence) of God.

When you look at the sky on a clear night, you will see the vast knowledge of God. No one can count the exact number of the stars, yet God knows each one of them and even given each one a name, how awesome and great is our God, his power is exceedingly great and intelligence is unlimited.

In this hi-tech age of humanity many are undermining the intelligence and the power of God. Don’t ever let that be a hindrance for your trust in the living God.

Apostle Paul summed it beautifully when he said the following.

Romans 11:33-36  Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

34

“For who has known the mind of the Lord,
   or who has been his counselor?”

“Or who has given a gift to him
   that he might be repaid?”

36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
