Do not take Salvation Lightly

By Nick Bibile

It took only 6 days for God to create the heavens and the earth and all in it. God just  spoke the word and everything was created by his word.

It was easy to sin but not painful to repair the damage. It took thousands of years of background preparation for the Savior to come to this world. During these thousands of years, many godly prophets were persecuted and killed for telling the truth. Thousands upon thousands of animals were sacrificed, millions upon millions of people were killed, there was much hardship, pain and agony.

Then God sent his only loving Son to this earth. He came from the heavens, he did not know suffering, pain, agony, hardships, yet in humility he was born and went through the most painful, agonizing, humiliating death.

Now how will you respond if you are a true believer? Will you just say, I believe in Jesus and enjoy the pleasures of sin, walk in your flesh for your selfish reasons? Don’t you know that even demons believe in Jesus?

James 2:19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!

If you truly believe in God, you will turn away from sin, you will turn away from the pleasures of this world, you will turn away from worldly sinful parties and live like a Christlike life.

2 Timothy 2:19 “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

But we are living in the days where everyone says they are Christians, in reality there is no difference between them and the unbelievers. They confess with their mouths but their hearts are far away from God. They have an outward godliness but deny the power of the living God. They love this world and they remember Jesus on Sundays only, they have a Bible but never read it, they are taking the broad road of the flesh for their own destruction,  they will pray only when they are in trouble. In truth, they are not Christians.

If you are a Christian be Christlike, you are different from the unbelievers, let your light shine in this dark world and let God be glorified in your life, this is the true result of Salvation.
