Satan is the Author of False Religions

By Nick Bibile

1Jo 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

Who are the liars?

·                 One who profess to be a Christian but continually practicing in sin.

1Jo 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.

·                 One who says he is not a sinner is a liar.

1Jo 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

·                 The one who says he is a Christian and does not obey the commandments of God is a liar.

1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

·                 One who denies that Jesus is the Christ is a liar.

Today there are so many who believe in Christ but when it comes to the heart of the matter they deny Christ. Denial of Christ has to do with the gospel as the Father has offered Christ in the gospel. In the gospel there is Christ and without the gospel there is no Christ. In the gospel we see Christ, the holy one of God, God incarnate in human flesh, tabernacle among men fulfilling all the law of God, on his death we see the good news as his righteousness charged to the believing sinner. On the other hand the false teachers believe in Jesus but deny who he is. History confirms it.

Arius who was in the church robbed the divinity of Christ. Today Jehovahs Witness, Mormons and many others who deny that Jesus is not God who came in the flesh are liars.

Then in the 3rd century we see Sabellian heresy that identified the Son and the Father are one in person differing only in name, he denied the Trinity. Sabellius denied the Son of God. We see the same heresy today in United Pentecostalism and Jesus only oneness movement.

Then we see Pelagius who believed in the essence of Christ but reducing Christ to nothing, when his grace and power are set aside.

We see the Roman Catholics who believe in the deity of Christ and that he is the Son of God but denying it is not grace alone but their righteousness and merits of works are necessary for salvation. It is not the imputed righteousness of Christ alone that saves but the traditions of the church and mans good works are necessary.

Whoever denies the true essence of Christ, his work on the cross that Christ alone we are saved he is antichrist. Antichrist is a person who not only comes against Christ like the atheists but also one who substitute for Christ. This includes all false religions. The Hindus, Islam, Buddhism, Roman Catholicism, Jehovahs Witness, Mormonism, Mary Baker Eddy and Jim Jones and Sun Moon and many other false religions. Satan is the counterfeit of Christ; he deceives people just like he deceived our first parents. In his counterfeit he uses religion to deceive people, the true essence and the work of Christ is taken out and being replaced by someone else.

In true essence whoever denies the Son denies the Father and the truth is not in them. (Verse 23)

Whoever honors the Son, honors the Father.

Joh 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

There is a relationship of the Son to the Father and in the same way there is a relationship from Gods people to the Father through the Son. If you say, you believe in the Father, God but not in the true essence of the Son then you are a liar and you do not have that relationship with the Father. Let me explain more. The name of Son in the Old Testament was the Messiah or the Anointed one, this was the official designation of Christ, which he relates to the scriptures of the Old Testament.

Lu 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Lu 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

We see Christ is the center in the Old Testament; therefore the relationship to God the Father is through Christ. If you deny the Son, then you deny the Father. Christ is God of God; Light of Light; very God of very God; begotten not made; one of substance with the Father. He is the God-man, possessing all the essential qualities of both the human and the divine nature. He has both a divine and a human consciousness, as well as a human and a divine will. This is a mystery, which we cannot fathom. This is the great mystery of godliness, God manifested in the flesh, I Tim. 3:16.

Deny Christ is to deny his ministry and to deny his ministry is to deny Christ.

1.     1.       Christ revealed to the church the will of God.

Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Heb 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

2.    2.      Christ was the perfect sacrifice, he executed the sins of his people and he intercedes for his people continually.

Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)

Heb 7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.

3.    3.      The Name of Jesus is above every other name.

This is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Joshua, which was originally Hoshea (Num. 13:8, 16), but changed by Moses into Jehoshua (Num. 13:16; 1 Chr. 7:27), or Joshua. After the Exile it assumed the form Jeshua, whence the Greek form Jesus. It was given to our Lord to denote the object of his mission, to save (Matt. 1:21).

Mt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Ac 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.

4.    4.      The Father is well pleased with the Son.

Mt 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

5.    5.      Jesus is the only way to God.

Some say, there are many paths to God, but the Bible says the opposite, there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus. The door to eternal life is through Jesus; the door to heaven is through Jesus. All other ways are to deceive people and the author of all the other paths is Satan. He is the author of the rest of the religions; he has blinded the minds of the unbelievers. (2 Cor 4:4) The way to God is not through idols, Mary or the saints but by Jesus as he is the only mediator between God and man. (1 Tim 2:5)

6.    6.      Jesus is God.

Jesus is called the Son of God. Because He is the second Person of the Trinity, and therefore Himself God, Matt. 11:27.

Mt 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Isa. 9:6. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Jer. 23:6. "In His days shall Judah be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is His name whereby He shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness."

Matthew 26 records that at Jesus' trial, the high priest tells Jesus, "I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus replies, Thou hast said, nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven

John 1:1. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Col. 2:9. "For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the God"

Tit 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

7.    7.      Conclusion

The antichrists are people who deny Jesus as they are opposing to the name of Jesus, they are opposing to his works and ministry and they are oppose to his words.

Mt 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
