Dunghill to the Mansion

1Sa 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.
The unregenerate man’s condition is like a beggar on a dunghill. That was our condition before we were regenerated.
The world with all its pomp and glory is a dunghill compared to compare to the heavenly glory.
The comforts and the pleasures of this world is seducing many professing Christians as many are drunk in worldliness. Many may think that they are not living in a dunghill but in a very comfortable home with all the comforts. But if you are not born again by the Spirit of God and if you are not behaving as a Christian you are lost and spiritually you are living on a dunghill.
Some are lukewarm; they give part of themselves to God only on Sundays. Remember Jesus did not purchase a part of a person but the whole person. Many don’t live in the very presence of God, they don’t realize that God is always looking and can see all the motives. Luke warmness suites the flesh. It’s like taking a warm shower on a cold day; you don’t feel like coming out of the shower.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
But for those who poor Christians who are poor and miserable in the sight of the world, they may live in a dunghill now but God has prepared a mansion in heaven, they will be raised up from the dunghill to the mansion, to heavenly glory.
Ps 147:3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
6 The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
Once we adored earthly pleasures, now it does not charm us anymore. Because grace has set us free. When I see my Beloved Jesus whom I love the earthly pleasures fades away.
