Daily Bible Reading and Study of God’s Word.
By Pastor Nick Bibile
Have
you been lately fellowshipping with Christ? You cannot fellowship with him, if
you do not read and study God’s word. Are you constantly studying his word?
Let
me honestly ask you these questions. What are your wishes? What are your wants?
What are your desires?
Are
your desires fleshly? Material things, for your flesh? Like the Israelites in
the wilderness, they asked for meat to satisfy their lusts. They craved for the
fleshly things and God gave them meat, also came the curse of God.
Joh
6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth
unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath
God the Father sealed.
I
have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. (Job 23:12)
When was
the last time you did not eat? Have you gone without food for days? But how
many of you gone without spiritual food for days? Many don’t even pray daily
because they don’t read and study his word. The more you study his word, the
more you will go down on your knees.
Is
there worldly pollution in your heart? Many are so concerned of their health,
they take vitamins, eat the right food, do exercise, check their heart, blood
pressure. But what about your heart before God? Are you getting sanctified
daily? Are you cleansing your soul daily with the word of God?
Joh
17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth:
thy word is truth.
