Incredible Rescue

Jessica Lynch, 19-year-old Army supply clerk was among 15 soldiers of the 507th Maintenance who were ambushed March 23, 03 near Nasiriyah, Iraq. She suffered a head wound and fractures in her right arm, legs, her right foot and ankle, and an injury to her spine as the enemy tortured her severely. She was powerless, she was left to die. She did not have any hope but death was waiting for her.

Suddenly the U.S. soldiers stormed into where Jessica was being kept, called her by name saying "Jessica Lynch," a U.S. soldier called out. "We are United States soldiers, and we're here to protect you and take you home." This was an amazing true story how Jessica was rescued from the enemy.

There is another invisible enemy who have taken many souls captive and that enemy is Satan. Many are living in sin under Satans Kingdom. The sad part is unlike Jessica Lynch who knew her enemies; many are unaware that they have being taken captive by Satan. They are not always being tortured but they live comfortably. But spiritually they are under the bondage of the enemy as they go on sinning against the Almighty God.

Like the U.S. Soldiers who came to rescue Jessica, Jesus came to rescue his own people who have been taken captive by the enemy.

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10)

Mt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Lu 1:68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people.

The U.S. soldiers called Jessica by name and Jesus calls his people by name.

Lu 19:5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

If you realized you have sinned against Almighty God and admit that you deserve punishment of Gods wrath for being disobedient to God. Now you can escape that eternal wrath through Jesus Christ who gives eternal life.

Ro 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

When there was a great earthquake the Philippian jailor asked apostle Paul and Silas, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:30-31)

The believing sinner will leave his sins and turn to God by faith and follow Jesus for the rest of his life.

Re 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

There was great rejoicing when Jessica Lynch was rescued. Jessica Lynch's family rejoiced with tears and hugs at word of her rescue Tuesday, as family and friends packed their house in Palestine, W.Va., and cars and fire trucks paraded past blaring horns in celebration.

When the lost sinner comes home there is great celebration, remember the celebration when the prodigal son came home.

Lu 15:6 And when he cometh home, he called together his friends and neighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

There is joy in heaven when one sinner repents.

Lu 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repented.
