Did Coronavirus bring you closer to Christ?

Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom.

I think it’s a fair question that we should ask of ourselves. As Christians we need to spiritually evaluate ourselves of our current status with the Lord. What did the coronavirus do spiritually to myself? Some of you may take this very lightly and some may take it seriously, it all depends on your heart.

First time in history, the Lord in his sovereign purpose, unknown to us, it seems that he closed the door for all of us to have fellowship on every Sunday. Have you asked yourselves why and if anything good will come out of it?

Remember church was only one week event for many. Many of us depended once a week, one hour spiritual food for the rest of the week. Maybe we were more focused on church more than Christ Jesus.

Suddenly there is a huge change in our whole lifestyle and mostly our spiritual lifestyle.  The Lord doesn’t force you to attend church anymore, yet, God opened floodgates of spiritual blessings through the internet. Some of these teachings are very good and some are lukewarm and some are very bad. Some looks and sound very good but without discernment you can be deceived. Now you are left alone for you to decide which ones to choose. I am sure you have different chat groups. Are the chat groups focused on the Lord Jesus, or focused on the worldly chatter?  Are you growing in these chat groups or are you sinning?

Yes, we need to spiritually evaluate our condition before the Lord, asking the Lord, how am I doing?  Are you growing even more than your church going days, is it a blessing or a curse for your spiritual growth?

Now you are at home most of the time, you have more time for the Lord, what are you doing in your free time? You may say I don’t have free time, I am still busy. Will you tell the Lord, I don’t have any free time with you I am busy, I have no time for you Lord, sorry…

Are you studying His word more, are you meditating and praying more? Are you seeking the Lord more? When we are living in uncertain times, not sure what will happen tomorrow, the more we should come close to him, and grow in him. If not and a danger happens, it’s the most fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (Hebrews 10:31)
