Rapture of the Church

Part 2

By Nick Bibile

Last week showed evidence from the final authority the word of God that there is no secret, noiseless rapture. The spirit of our age has taken an eschatological turn from Classical Historical Christianity. The secret rapture that is so popular today is nothing but man made fiction and these fiction has turned into movies.

What about when the Lord said, he will come like a thief in the night?  Next time. Take all the scriptures for the rapture and go through all of them.

Last week we saw 1 Thes 4:16-17 and we see the exact identical incident in 1 Cor 15:51-54, speaking of the same thing. Rapture of the Church and Second coming of Christ is not two different events but the same. During the rapture the believers will be raised up. The second coming of Christ happens at the end of the age, the last day. The following scriptures gives proof.

The Rapture gurus preach that the church will be taken out from the world that would be very pleasing to the flesh but Jesus said the otherwise.

Joh 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Rapture of the Church and Second coming of Christ is the same.

Joh 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Compare the above scriptures with I Cor 15:52, the last day to last trumpet call.

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The last Day is the day of harvest. The trumpet sound for the Christian is the calling of their blessed Savior. The trumpet blast is also a signal of the Lord’s coming to rescue his people from hostile oppression of this world.

Zec 9:14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. 15 The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar. 16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. 17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

I Corinthians 15:52 speaks of the last trumpet call.

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Many believe this to be the rapture of the church which will happen before the great tribulation. But in Matthew 24:29 speaks of the tribulation first and on verse 30 we see the trumpet sound again. Is this another last trumpet? Again the word of God cannot contradict but tradition, men’s opinions contradict.

Mt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Believers and the unbelievers will dwelt together in this world until the second coming of Christ. In the church there will be true born again Christians and also many who would say they are Christians but by name only not in their life style. The hypocrites and the believers will live together until the coming of the Lord.

Mt 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Mt 13:47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: 48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. 49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

God knows who are his and it is not going to be our decision but God’s as he will separate the sheep from the goats. There is deliverance for the true Christians and judgment for the others.

Mt 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

Mt 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Mt 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Mt 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

Mt 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

The resurrection of the saints must coincide with the resurrection of the wicked. when the believers come forth unto the resurrection of life, at that time all in the tombs will as well come forth, including the wicked who are raised to judgment.

Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; 27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Da 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
