Pastor’s Responsibility and Your Responsibility.

Church here in Norwalk. I am not sure if we will stay here and move to another state. Depends on God’s will. When I was without food for almost 1 ½ days for my preparation for Colonoscopy I was thinking I wish I had someone else to help me in preaching and to help me in the ministry side by side, like Pastor Mateo and Jay-R. Also the Bible talks of elders in the church who should be able to teach. I feel very sad to see that we don’t have people qualified as elders who can preach. I am praying that the Lord will bring someone who loves the Lord from the bottom of his heart and someone that wants to serve God so I can train him. By any chance if we move or something happens to me, it is my desire that the ministry should continue and you will know your responsibility towards God in taking care of the new pastor. There are some things that I feel not comfortable of saying as people may misinterpret thinking I am asking for money that’s why I am giving a sermon like this. But one day I will be responsible for God what I taught from this pulpit and what I did not teach as I did not feel comfortable. I believe the Lord laid this subject on my heart to tell what you may be very ignorant so my hands will be cleaned before the Lord for telling the whole counsel of God.

Pastor’s Responsibility to the Church.

If I am not doing my duty you should lovingly correct me.

1. Lead by godliness. Be and example of godliness to the flock.
2. Feed sound doctrine.
3. Defend the flock.
4. Love the flock.

Lead by godliness, example to the flock.

Paul to Timothy.

1Ti 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Peter to the elders.

1Pe 5:3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

God to Moses

Ex 3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

Ex 19:22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.

Le 10:10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

Jos 24:14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

Practice what you preach and show that example to the flock.

Joh 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

1Co 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

1 Cor 4:16 I urge you, then, be imitators of me.

Philippians 3: 17 Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.

Philippians 4: 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Hardworking
