Why people hate the Name of
Jesus?

Acts 4:13-21
Many would disagree with me, as they would say they never hate Jesus, even the other religions have a respect for Jesus. However, I will show you the truth with facts that the majority hates Jesus. The truth is there is another Jesus, this other Jesus people would love. This is not the historical true Jesus; this Jesus is from the pit of hell. Who is this Jesus?
2 Corinthians 11: 4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.
Apostle Paul pin points who this other Jesus, this is the Jesus that apostles did not proclaimed, this Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible, this is a Jesus that Satan has presented to the world, what the world would love to have, man would love this Jesus as man would agree with this Jesus. In reality this is the height of deception, deception that comes from Satan, the enemy’s goal is to deceive.
Many would love this Jesus as this Jesus will never show any sign of anger of God’s wrath when you are in sin, this Jesus will always love you even when you are in sin and against the Bible. This Jesus will compromise sin. This Jesus will not come against any other religions but agree with every religions of the world. This Jesus will agree with you and every form of sin. Men would love Jesus as men as their opinions would agree with Jesus. Enemy would use this Jesus to taken many to the lake of fire.
Matthew 7: 21 “Not everyone who says to
me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the
will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in
your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your
name?’ 23 And then
will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of
lawlessness.’
In Acts chapter 4:13-21 we see the high priest, the ruling elders, the religious leaders of that day wanted to shut the mouths of Peter and John, silence them in using the name of Jesus, they commanded them not to speak or to teach in the name of Jesus. Beloved, this is the true Jesus, which the religious leaders and the world don’t want to hear, they hate this Jesus. Why? Because it is a spiritual battle this spiritual battle did not begin in the New Testament but we can go as far as the book of Genesis.
God said, “Genesis 3:15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Out of the woman’s seed came the messiah. Devil’s seed or his offspring are all who are born of the flesh and the woman’s offspring are all who are born of the spirit. There will be enmity between the two offspring, then it becomes personal fight, head to head where Jesus will bruise Satan’s head and Satan will bruise Jesus heel. Satan deceived the woman and Christ will use a virgin woman to enter this world to battle against the devil. There was enmity at the very beginning when Cain murdered his brother Abel. There was enmity between Isaac and Ishmael, Jacob and Esau. Since the very beginning of the fall the unbelievers are at war with the believers. They persecuted the prophets, tortured and killed the true believers. We can see how this prophecy is fulfilled in the Bible and even in our day, Christians are hated by the world. Remember Herod wanted to kill the baby Jesus, the religious leaders of that day seek to kill Jesus and eventually they celebrated when they crucified the Prince of Life.
Jesus prophesied that the world would hate the true Christians because we bear the name of Jesus.
Mark 13:13 And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Luke 6:22 Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!
Stephen was stoned to death, as he loved Jesus more than the religion of that day.
Nero began to persecute the Christians starting around 64 A.D The early Church was persecuted because they loved Jesus, the Christians did not fall and worship the Roman Emperors, they obeyed Christ Jesus. Peter was crucified upside down, Paul was beheaded.
Nero and the world of that day made Christians as objects of entertainment, Christians who loved the name of Jesus were the objects of the wild beasts, also Christians were burnt in the night, made them as a light in the night while Nero went in his chariot.
Diocletian, the Roman
Emperor made a decree in 303 A.D. to extinguish the Bible and Slaughter all
Christians, his aim was to annihilate the Christians as they loved the name of
Jesus. This was called the great persecution.
"Though beheaded, and crucified, and thrown to wild
beasts, and chains, and fire, and all other kinds of torture, we do not give up
our confession; but, the more such things happen, the more do others in larger
numbers become faithful."
(Second century Christian apologist Justin Martyr)
Mao
Tse-Tung, the prominent Chinese Communist leader and Joseph Stalin the
communist party leader of Russia hated the real Jesus and killed millions. Queen Mary 1, also called Bloody Mary burned
288 Protestants as they proclaimed the name of true Jesus; these were not rebels against the Queen's authority, caught red-handed
in arms. They were not thieves, or murderers, or drunkards, or men and women of
immoral lives. On the contrary, they were, holy men of God who loved Jesus.
Today the true Jesus is hated and those who bear the true Jesus is persecuted and those who bear the name of false Jesus is embraced.
There is a battle between the kingdom of God, ruled by Jesus and the kingdom of this world ruled by Satan, this battle will continue until Jesus will come from heaven and destroy all his enemies. However many don’t want to submit to the authority of Jesus. They want to submit to their own will instead of Jesus authority. All our opinions and actions should not contradict with the Bible. If our thinking, opinions and actions contradict with the Bible then we don’t love Jesus. Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15) Jesus also said, “He who does not love Me does not keep my words.” (John 14:24)
My question to you today is, which Jesus do you have? Do you have the false Jesus or the true Jesus of the Bible? Do you have false Jesus who will give bear hugs when you sin or the true Jesus where you will fall at his feet when you sin and ask for forgiveness? Do you have the false Jesus who says it’s ok to have worldly entertainment, watching worldly movies, listening to worldly music, following the ways of this world, or do you have the real Jesus who said, “Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” (John 12:25) Do you have the false Jesus where you no discipline is needed? You don’t have to read, study, obey his word, you don’t have to pray and witness, you can do these things whenever you want or do you have the true Jesus who said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” (Mat 16:24) Which Jesus do you have? Do you have the Jesus of a religion or the Jesus of a genuine relationship? Apostle Paul said; if anyone has no love for the Lord, let him be accursed. (1 Cor 16:22)
We preach the Name of Jesus, who is God incarnate, God’s blood was shed for the unworthy sinners, he conquered death and sin, rose from the grave not as a spirit but in his own body, will come back to destroy all who followed the false Jesus, he will come for those who faithfully followed him and rule with the true believers of God forever and ever.
