Psalms 23:1-6

God is represented as the Shepherd, the Guide, and the Host of His people. The flock does not keep the shepherd, but the shepherd keeps the flock. Look away from yourself and trust Him with all, in all, and for all.

Let God see to your wants. You need nothing outside of Him. His pastures are “tender grass;” His waters, “waters of rest.” The word of God is the living water.

Jesus is our Good Shepherd.

Jesus said in John 10:11 I am the good shepherd and the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. Also said, I know my own and my own know me. (John 10:14)

John 10:3 The sheep hears his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

What encouraging words for those who have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. He is the one who give us a hunger for his word, he is the one who lead us in his word, we know him personally and he knows us, he calls us by his name. Beloved this is very personal.
